Job Summary
Account Manager will drive positive sales growth within a defined geography or vertical market. Responsibilities include visiting existing customers in the Raleigh area daily, leveraging Grainger's CRM (Salesforce) to manage activities, and developing account penetration strategies to grow revenue. The role requires understanding customer goals, applying market data to respond to developments, supporting managed inventory tasks, and delivering Grainger's value proposition through solutions to expand profitable sales. Qualifications include high school diploma/GED and 3+ years of direct outside sales experience; travel to customers within the aligned market at least monthly; and experience with sales forecasting, opportunity management, planning, pipeline development, and objection handling.
