Job Summary
Analyze, build, and optimize chemical treatment programs for cooling water, boiler water, wastewater, and process applications while guiding junior team members in technical excellence. Conduct sample testing, deliver technical service reports, and execute account management excellence programs including service plans and business reviews to demonstrate measurable customer value. Lead by example through active mentorship of account representatives, fostering their commercial skills and professional growth within dotted-line reporting relationships. Consistently achieve and exceed annual revenue targets by managing margin reviews, price escalations, and complex commercial negotiations while maintaining a robust sales funnel for new, recurring business. Follow strategic selling processes, advanced prospecting techniques, and sophisticated negotiation strategies to secure profitable opportunities. Work safely at all times following EHS policies while promoting safety culture, and physically lift up to 45 lbs as needed. This role serves as a stepping stone to Area Manager, featuring enhanced incentive compensation eligibility and access to leadership development programs.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent, in Biology, Chemistry, Environmental Science or Engineering/Technologist (Chemical, Industrial, or Mechanical), preferred
- minimum 15+ years of direct experience in the field and water treatment industry
- high school education
- 10+ years of experience within water and process treatment industry
- Proven track record of consistently achieving and exceeding sales targets
- Demonstrated experience in strategic selling, prospecting, and negotiation
- Experience with consultative selling and technical solution development
- Leadership or mentorship experience
- A full valid driver's license
