Job Summary
Lead the engineering team in delivering contractually required MEP outcomes, including corrective, planned, and reactive works for Specialist Vendors. Operate facility systems such as HV/LV switching, manage all activities relating to installed building systems, and ensure compliance with statutory regulations and SLAs. Take ownership of the CMMS system to accurately complete work orders, monitor team performance, and attend weekly operations and client meetings. Drive operational excellence by managing the engineering risk register, compiling critical incident reports, and ensuring immediate escalation of equipment issues. Provide robust leadership to motivate the team toward exceeding customer service expectations while supporting sector-specific business development within agreed budgets.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in Critical Environments such as Banking HQ and Data Centres
- HV/LV Authorised Person (Or the ability to attend the training required to obtain sign off by AE)
- Electrical/Mechanical Engineering HNC or HND (Successfully completed apprenticeship in either)
- C&G Pts. 1 & 2, equivalent or exceeds
- 18th Edition IEE: Wiring and Installation
- IOSH Managing Safely (Or NEBOSH equivalent)
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to deal with all levels of staff/management/customers
- Ability to lead, motivate and direct a small team of engineers and supervisors
- Completed ILM3/5 or similar
- Have excellent IT and report writing skills
- Ability to work under pressure whilst remaining calm, clear thinking and able to deliver the required services to the client within given time constraints
- A high level of initiative, with drive to continuously improve the operation
- Ability to comprehend and act upon both verbal and written instructions
- Integrity, honesty and punctuality
- Collaborative Team Player, who works effectively to achieve common goals
- Advanced communication skills with a full understanding of customer needs & expectations
