Job Summary
Account Manager for instrument sales in the biosciences division, responsible for leading key accounts and delivering exceptional customer experiences across an assigned territory. Manages territory development and key opportunities, demonstrates instrument manipulation and delivers compelling presentations. Maintains visibility with management through activity and results reports (daily call reports, weekly work plans, monthly/annual territory analyses), monitors market pricing and product activity, analyzes competition, and resolves customer issues with data-driven solutions. Ensures compliance with company policies and industry regulations. Requires strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, plus proficiency with CRM tools. Travel up to 70% within the territory and operate in an office-based environment.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry or related field; or the equivalent knowledge and Academic/functional experience
- Ph.D’s degree will be advantageous
- Minimum of 3 years of successful instrument sales experience
- Proficiency in CRM systems (preferably Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite
- Fluency in English; additional language skills based on territory needs
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel up to 70% within assigned territory
