Job Summary
Account Manager responsible for managing pharma congress accounts globally, consulting on strategic congress planning, leading account teams, on-site staff management at large-scale events, and driving growth through client relationships; requires 7+ years in pharma congress/event management, proficiency in Cvent, MS Office, budget and reporting, travel 1-2 weeks/month.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years domestic and international meeting or event planning experience including pharma congress management
- Consult clients on strategic congress planning and management
- Experience US and international congresses, satellite symposia, and exhibitions
- On-site operation including staff management at large-scale congress events
- Thorough understanding of hotel spend caps, regulatory codes (HCP, EFPIA, pharma code) and regulatory sign off within a healthcare company
- Understand HCP reporting and reimbursements
- Expert level proficiency within Cvent
- Excellent computer skills – Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Teams, SharePoint, Outlook) and database management
- Ability to manage a team of employees and oversee teams on larger or complex client-specific projects while effectively delegating tasks
- Travel savvy - ability to travel 1-2 weeks per month
