Job Summary
Account Manager role focused on driving profitable sales growth through existing and new foodservice distributors and operators in California and Nevada. Responsibilities include visiting clients, assessing needs, recommending Huhtamaki products, implementing sales plans, negotiating pricing and deductions, processing promotions, and closing sales orders. Interfaces with purchasing, sales, marketing, and management to expand product categories and protect existing business; collaborates across pricing/deductions, marketing, and manufacturing to support profitable growth. Develops account strategy, negotiates contracts, manages account budgets and marketing needs, delivers annual sales and contribution margin targets, and participates in new item commercialization. Requires strong communication and presentation skills, CRM and pipeline management capability, and willingness to travel up to 60% for customer meetings and market visits. Located in the Western U.S. region with office-based work most days and a dynamic environment focused on sustainable packaging solutions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business or Analytical Field or equivalent work experience in one of these disciplines
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Foodservice Distribution
- Excellent communication, listening, and presentation skills, both verbal and written
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; comfortable with quantitative analysis
- Collaborative and influential without formal authority; able to manage conflict and build commitment to goals
- Sense of urgency and ability to work independently; strong work ethic and track record of success
