Job Summary

Account Manager role covering the Southern UK territory for Academic, Government and Healthcare accounts, including the University of Southampton. Drive revenue and build lasting relationships by delivering consultative solutions from Thermo Fisher’s scientific portfolio through customer visits and virtual engagements. Manage key accounts, develop strategic sales plans, and ensure customer satisfaction while achieving sales targets. Travel within the territory (up to 50-75%) to engage customers, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and act as a trusted advisor to advance customers’ scientific goals.

Required Qualifications

  • Previous Life Sciences sales experience is preferable but not required
  • Preferred Fields of Study: Life Sciences, Chemistry, Biology or related scientific field
  • Technical knowledge to understand customer applications and workflows
  • Excellent organizational, communication, presentation and negotiation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain customer relationships at all levels
  • Proficiency with CRM systems (preferably Salesforce) and MS Office
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a matrix environment
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel up to 50-75% within assigned territory
  • Fluency in English required
