Job Summary
Account Manager drives B2B sales growth by building strong customer relationships and delivering value-focused specialty ingredient solutions. Manages existing accounts, identifies new business opportunities, and collaborates with internal teams to support customer success. Requires proactive, results-driven approach in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment with up to 25% travel. Responsibilities include developing and maintaining B2B customer relationships through regular communication and onsite visits; generating and qualifying leads; researching target companies; presenting product solutions; attending meetings, conferences, and trade shows; negotiating pricing and terms; analyzing sales data; maintaining CRM records; collaborating with Accounting, Logistics, R&D, QA/QC; managing contracts; achieving sales targets and long-term retention. Travel-ready with strong negotiation, communication, and Microsoft Office skills. Preferred: micro-ingredients/B2B sales, CRM tools (Salesforce, HubSpot), ZoomInfo; problem-solving and time management.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree.
- Proven experience in outside sales, business development, or related roles.
- Willingness to travel as needed for client meetings, presentations, and industry events.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
