Job Summary
Account Manager for exports responsible for managing key export customer accounts, developing seasonal sales strategies, aligning marketing requirements with internal stakeholders to ensure customer service excellence, acting as the primary contact for export customers, building and growing long-term customer, grower, and supplier relationships, identifying new business opportunities in export markets, negotiating volumes and pricing to optimise sales and grower returns, managing stock levels, claims, and trade agreements to minimise risk, presenting market insights and performance data to customers and internal teams, overseeing customer orders, invoicing, claims, and debtors’ administration, providing accurate reporting on account status, forecasts, and key metrics, and supporting finance in managing overdue debtors and queries.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Commerce or equivalent
- 5–7 years’ experience in sales account management and trade
- Strong knowledge of supply/demand, pricing, and costing mechanisms
- Fruit industry or FMCG experience
- Logistics and export market knowledge
