Job Summary
Account Manager for a large engineering and system integration firm focused on automation, controls, and integration services. Responsibilities include owning and managing assigned client accounts as the primary point of contact, building trusted relationships with client stakeholders at multiple levels, maintaining regular communication to understand goals and challenges, identifying opportunities for expanded services and new projects, collaborating with engineering and project teams to develop practical, scalable solutions, supporting proposal development, pricing coordination, and contract negotiations, and meeting or exceeding revenue and margin targets. The role requires understanding automation platforms, control systems, OT networks, and emerging technologies relevant to client markets, and effectively translating client needs for both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Strong emphasis on coordinating with internal teams, ensuring scope clarity, guiding change management discussions, and acting as an advocate for the customer while balancing project realities.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in account management, sales, or business development within a systems integrator, automation firm, or related technical services environment.
- Experience managing complex, project-based client relationships.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to understand and discuss technical concepts with engineers and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities simultaneously.
