Job Summary
Account Manager for Employee Benefits responsible for assisting Producers with new and renewal lines, handling client service, and acting as primary liaison between clients and insurance carriers. Responsibilities include managing a complex book of business across Utah and surrounding states, leading client meetings (renewals or plan utilization), coordinating on-site and virtual meetings, educating clients on compliance topics (ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, 5500s, Health Care Reform), communicating due dates and expectations, implementing new group contracts, managing renewals and bid processes, preparing Benefit Guides for Open Enrollment, developing employee memos for renewal changes, providing claims resolution, maintaining carrier relationships, and supporting team development with training and knowledge sharing. Qualifications emphasize 4-6 years in the employee benefits field, Life & Health license (or ability to obtain within 3 months), experience with self-funded/level-funded/fully insured plans, strong customer service, and proficient computer skills with effective communication and presentation abilities. Physical demands include regular communication and computer use with occasional lifting up to 25 pounds. Location is Ogden, UT; this is a full-time role with compensation between $28-$33 per hour.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 4-6 years of experience in the employee benefits industry
- Currently hold Life & Health license (or must obtain it within 3 months following employment date)
- Experience with Self-funded, Level Funded, Fully Insured plans
- Prior customer service experience
- High level of computer literacy (Windows 10/11, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Ability to create and conduct trainings for internal Associates
