Job Summary
Account Manager - Construction Sales for WM in Miami, FL, focusing on managing waste and recycling services for existing construction accounts and driving temporary revenue growth. Responsibilities include handling service requests and issues, educating customers and prospects on recycling processes and WM's online tools, and pursuing new business activities (70%+). Duties also cover developing detailed proposals, researching the waste/environmental services sector, networking at conferences, assignment management, building relationships, delivering high-impact communication, prospecting and closing to meet sales goals, maintaining prospect data and marketing plans, aligning WM services with customer needs, utilizing WM sales tools and ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, devising sales approaches, marshaling resources, and negotiating effectively.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree (accredited) or in lieu of degree
- High School Diploma or GED (accredited) and 4 years of relevant work experience
- 1 year of relevant work experience in direct business-to-business sales, and phone based business-to-business prospecting resulting in successfully obtaining customer appointments
- 20 hours of training with Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA)
- Certifications: WM CRA
- Involved in USGBC, AIA, AGC, BOMA, or NAHB
