Job Summary
Account Manager for construction accounts at Border States in Tucson, AZ. Manages assigned customer accounts, promotes products, services and capabilities, and coordinates sales strategies with vendors to maximize customer sales potential. Regularly calls on accounts, develops new accounts, inputs cost savings documentation, and provides input to pricing and purchasing on competitive issues. Directs use of marketing tools and company resources to implement coordinated sales strategies; ensures timely follow-up on technical inquiries; identifies cross-sell opportunities; aligns activities with customer objectives and market conditions. Requires 4-year degree or equivalent experience, 2 years in distribution/sales/marketing, contract negotiation experience, strong presentation skills, English proficiency, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and SAP; travel is involved.
Required Qualifications
- 4 years business, sales, marketing or trade degree or the equivalent in related work experience
- 2 years of prior distribution, customer service, marketing, quotation or sales experience preferred
- Experience with contract negotiation
- Experience with presenting in front of a large group
- Ability to read, write and speak in English required
- Strong working knowledge of PC for Windows, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint), Internet, Email and SAP software
