Job Summary
Account Manager for Channel Sales in Japan responsible for growing Adobe's revenue through strategic partners by identifying and qualifying new business opportunities, managing partner relationships, and driving pipeline, quota attainment, and renewal strategies. Responsibilities include developing joint business plans with partners, driving pipeline generation, opportunity development, and sales forecasting; accelerating upsell, cross-sell, and new customer acquisition; formulating renewal strategies for subscription licenses; building relationships with partners’ sales teams and executives; coordinating with internal teams (Sales, Solution Consultants, Marketing) to drive large opportunities and renewals; planning partner-facing programs and co-marketing activities; and exploring opportunities in Digital Transformation, digital documents, and Generative AI. Preferred skills include 5+ years of partner sales or 3+ years of end-user selling experience, IT industry sales experience, software solution selling, strong motivation and teamwork, storytelling and presentation skills, and strong analysis; Japanese proficiency and business-level English required.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of partner sales experience, or 3+ years of end-user selling experience
- Sales experience in the IT industry with a proven track record of achieving sales targets
- Experience selling software product solutions
- Highly motivated and proactive with ability to drive sales activities and cross-functional projects
- Strong teamwork and ability to inspire and energize team members
- Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills, including storytelling
- Strong business and technology analytical skills to identify, structure, and resolve client challenges
- Proficiency in Japanese; business-level English proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking
