Job Summary
Account Manager for the Caribbean region based in the Netherlands. Responsible for developing and growing Damen Services’ business within the Caribbean, managing a portfolio of customers across the region, and acting as the driving force behind service activities from maintenance and spare parts to long-term service agreements. You will proactively identify, qualify, and pursue service opportunities, translate customer needs into viable service solutions, and coordinate with internal stakeholders to align commercial commitments with execution. The role requires regular travel within the region and collaboration across time zones and cultures. You combine account management, business development, and technical affinity to create sustainable commercial success, building and maintaining strong, long-term relationships with customers and expanding recurring business.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Maritime, Mechanical Engineering, Shipbuilding, or similar or a Business degree
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in account management, business development, or commercial roles in a technical environment
- Proven ability to develop business, manage complex customer relationships, and close deals
- Strong understanding of the combination of technical, operational, and commercial aspects of maritime services
- Experience with international customers and market dynamics is a strong plus
- Clear communicator in English; Dutch is a plus
