Job Summary
Account Manager for Life Science in the Vienna/Graz area, responsible for serving as the primary contact for customers, identifying new opportunities within existing accounts and prospects, maintaining a robust sales pipeline, coordinating with marketing, technical service, and CaSE teams to deliver solutions, articulating product value, addressing customer challenges, developing strategic account plans, and ensuring timely CRM updates for senior management reporting. Requires travel in Austria (up to ~50%), fluency in English and German, and a Bachelor’s degree in a life science field. The role emphasizes building lasting relationships, understanding regulatory contexts, and staying informed about market trends to drive growth in the Life Science portfolio.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, biochemistry, biology, or related field; advanced degree preferred
- First experiences in account management or life science sales
- Strong understanding of the life science landscape, key players, trends, and regulatory context
- Ability to travel by car at least 50% of the time; driving license required
- Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets and grow the business
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain productive relationships with diverse stakeholders
- Creative, analytical thinker with strong organizational skills and multitasking capability
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and German
