Job Summary
Account Executive – Outside Sales in a territory-based, hybrid, client-facing role for LocaliQ (USA TODAY Network). You will hunt for net-new business and manage an ongoing book of clients, building tailored marketing strategies and guiding businesses from first conversation through ongoing performance discussions. You’ll own the full sales cycle, collaborate with post-sales support teams, and work to deepen partnerships, with a strong emphasis on data-informed marketing proposals and achieving renewals and growth. The role emphasizes consultative, end-to-end sales in a hybrid/home-office setup with client visits as needed in the Holland, MI area. Positioned to grow into senior sales and leadership roles, with a base salary plus uncapped commission and benefits.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of B2B sales experience with success in new business development, account growth, or business development roles
- Ability to run a full-cycle, consultative sales process—from discovery through proposal, negotiation, and close
- Strong prospecting skills across phone, email, social, networking, and relationship-based outreach
- Experience using CRM and sales tools with disciplined pipeline management and follow-up
- Comfort learning and discussing digital marketing solutions such as search, social, display, and video
- Excellent communication skills, business curiosity, and the ability to build credibility with diverse clients and stakeholders
- Proficiency with CRM, Microsoft Office Suite, and AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot and Perplexity
- Valid driver’s license and vehicle insurance
