Job Summary
Account Executive responsible for prospecting new revenue across TEGNA marketing solutions from linear TV to digital and OTT, upselling current clients, and creating campaigns across broadcast, digital, and streaming. Build relationships with clients, understand business needs and competitive landscape, collaborate with the Account Manager to ensure execution, manage activity in the Matrix CRM, and represent the media group at community events. Requires 3-5 years in media sales, demonstrated ability to hit sales goals, familiarity with marketing solutions including broadcasting and digital advertising, CRM proficiency, strong written and verbal communication, and a collaborative, client-focused approach.
Required Qualifications
- 3-5 years of account engagement in a professional, fast-paced media sales environment
- Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales goals and developing new business opportunities as a seller
- Knowledge of marketing solutions including broadcasting and digital advertising (audio and interactive) and willingness to continuously learn
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and CRM systems for workload management and goal achievement
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities for proactive client, team, and vendor interactions
- Ability to put together campaigns focused on solving client needs and work effectively as part of a team
- Strong problem solving, adaptability to changing priorities, and attention to detail
