Job Summary
Maintain relationships with current and potential advertising accounts while prospecting for new business and developing sales strategies. Manage existing accounts by filing, copying, scanning, and using MS PowerPoint, MS Outlook, and sales tools like Tapscan and Arbitron Maximazer to create proposals. Submit fully executed sales contracts with authorized signatures and insertion orders to the Local Sales Manager, ensuring data accuracy in the Wide Orbit system. Provide production orders to Copywriting and Continuity, follow up on "made good" spots, and monitor market stations to identify active advertisers.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree or its equivalent
- 2-4 years of experience in Media Sales or in a related area with a high volume of sales
- 1-3 years of media experience
- Excellent organizational skills
- Discipline
- Negotiating skills
- Ability to create advertising proposals
- Excellent presentation skills
- Ample knowledge of radio broadcast sales tools, such as Arbitron rating numbers, Maximiser, Wide Orbit, and Tapscan
- Proficiency in PowerPoint
- Proficiency in Excel
- Creative and strategic thinker
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent command of verbal and written communication
- Ability to prioritize and multitask under deadline pressures
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
- Ability to perform each of the established essential functions
