Job Summary
Account Executive (SMB) at Zeller is an entry-level sales role focused on prospecting and managing an SMB pipeline across Australian SMEs. Responsibilities include outbound lead generation (door-to-door, cold calling, email, referrals) and nurturing inbound leads, qualifying opportunities, managing the full sales cycle from information gathering to closing, and using storytelling and case studies to illustrate how Zeller’s business banking and payments platform meets merchant needs. You’ll work with Hubspot Sales Hub and other tools, collaborate across Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, Product and Operations, stay informed on SME/fintech/payments trends, and develop commercially sound deals across varied use cases. Qualifications emphasize 1-2 years in BDR/SDR with goal achievement, proficiency in multiple prospecting techniques, ability to qualify buyers and recognize buying signals, and strong communication and collaboration skills. Bonus points for SaaS/fintech experience and established SME relationships. The role is hybrid and located in Perth, Australia.
Required Qualifications
- 1 - 2 years of experience as a BDR / SDR with proven goals achievement
- Hands-on experience with multiple prospecting techniques (cold-calls, email outreach, or door-to-door selling)
- Proficient in qualification, identifying target customers, evaluating buyer interest, recognising decision-making processes and buying signals
- Experience with Hubspot Sales Hub, Google Suite and Excel
- Excellent written, verbal, conversational and listening skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and collaborative work style
- Self-motivation and ability to work independently
- Experience in SaaS, fintech, or scale-up B2B sales (bonus)
