Job Summary
Account Executive – Revenue Generation role focused on driving ticket sales and revenue for a university athletics program. Responsibilities include identifying and generating revenue through ticket sales, donor acquisition, premium seating, hospitality and other initiatives; calling current/past customers and cold-calling new leads; engaging with area businesses and individuals via phone, in-person, virtual appointments, and networking events; building relationships to secure repeat business; achieving and exceeding weekly, monthly and annual sales goals; and providing superior customer service to clients throughout the season. Required skills include strong telephone manner, ability to generate opportunities with existing customers, proficiency with ticketing systems and CRM tools (Salesforce a plus), proven sales success, excellent communication (verbal and written), proactive initiative, adaptability in a fast-paced team environment, and a bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
Required Qualifications
- 1+ years of sales or customer service experience
- Experience with ticketing systems and CRM software such as Salesforce a plus
- 1+ years history of success in ticket sales preferably with a major Division 1 university or professional sports organization
- Demonstrate a proven track record in sales and building quality relationships
- Have a friendly and professional telephone manner
- Strong desire to learn about our business and grow your professional career
- Effectively express ideas verbally and in writing
- Independently take action beyond what is called for
- Be able to generate original and imaginative solutions to business opportunities
- Demonstrate a positive attitude
- Maintain a flexible work schedule
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
