Account Executive, Pharmaceutical Microbiology - NC, SC, FL, GA

Job Summary
Lead pharmaceutical, biotech, and personal care account management across NC, SC, FL, and GA to drive revenue and protect existing sales through direct calls and distribution channels. Execute a system sell approach with bench personnel and senior managers, managing core media and capital equipment sales while ensuring complete account control. Forecast activity, close deals, and coordinate post-sales activities with the service organization to transition to long-term customer satisfaction. Maintain financial performance at the revenue and profitability level, manage administrative duties including expense monitoring and reporting, and travel overnight 50%+ as required. This field-based role requires a regulatory expert with deep knowledge of compendial methods impacting raw materials through process validation.
Required Qualifications
- BA / BS in Life Sciences, biological areas, business or related discipline
- Degree in Microbiology preferred
- Minimum 3 years documented sales success (top 20%) in broad range laboratory products
- Minimum 1 year laboratory and / or multi-level selling experience preferred
- Experience in the Manufacturing Sales Space in any of the following: Pharmaceutical/medical device/Compounding Pharmacy/food testing, or QC/QA
- Capital equipment experience preferred
- Ability to Travel overnight 50%+ as required to meet performance standards
- Minimum of 4 days of in-office presence per week
- Proof that you are fully vaccinated against COVID-19
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in the Manufacturing Sales Space in any of the following: Pharmaceutical/medical device/Compounding Pharmacy/food testing, or QC/QA
- Capital equipment experience preferred
- Minimum 1 year laboratory and / or multi-level selling experience preferred
- Degree in Microbiology preferred
- Experience attaining or exceeding overall sales plan profitability, as well as, other assigned goals and objectives
- Knowledge of selling process and the components to build / maintain customer loyalty
- Preparation, presentation and closing skills to include direct sales, use of distribution channel and/or team selling approach
- Strong organizational skills
- Multi-State Territory management, account assessment and relationship development
- Analytical with financial orientation applicable to contract proposals and profitability, budget, and expense management
- Demonstrated ability to develop markets for new technology and new medical practices
- Excellent communication skills and interpersonal interaction required
- Computer savvy – working knowledge of MS Office applications, and other connectivity devices
