Job Summary
Account Executive for Neuromuscular Rare Disease in the Omaha, NE / Des Moines, IA territory. Represent UCB in the community, build and manage relationships with physicians, clinics, payers, and patient advocacy groups; master brand messaging, sales strategies, and disease-state knowledge; drive territory sales objectives with a strong emphasis on ethics and patient access; collaborate cross-functionally to deliver patient value and optimize care continuum; hybrid work model with 40% in-office time and up to 60% travel; 4-pillars focus on understanding patient journeys, identifying patients, enabling access, and supporting patient education; required bachelor’s degree and extensive field-based sales/biopharmaceutical experience.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 8+ years of field-based experience in sales, account management, and/or field reimbursement in biopharmaceuticals or healthcare
- 5+ years in a competitive specialty market segment
- Experience with Buy-and-Bill medical benefits, Specialty Pharmacy, and HUB delivery models
- Verifiable record of sustained high sales performance and achievement in top 30% nationally
- Experience/involvement in successful product launches
- Ability to maximize impact of multichannel/digital tools and strategy/tactics with territory HCPs
- Command of medical, scientific, and healthcare concepts related to neurology and rare diseases
- Experience serving diverse call points including academic centers, community care, hospitals, and private practices
- Willingness to travel up to 60% of time (overnight travel)
