Job Summary

Field-based Account Executive focused on oncology sales within Guardant Health’s liquid biopsy portfolio. Drive strategic expansion with major cancer centers, academic medical centers, and large oncology practices in the assigned territory; develop and execute comprehensive business plans, structure lab service agreements, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to meet company goals. Responsible for promoting oncology diagnostic products, building relationships with healthcare providers, and advancing MolDx-based solutions while navigating payor reimbursement landscapes. Requires strong executive-level communication, prospecting and closing abilities, and willingness to travel. Hybrid work model with on-site days at the Rochester, MN area and remote options where applicable.

Required Qualifications

  • 2-3 years of direct account management experience in a molecular diagnostic setting with history of proven past performance
  • 3-5 years of experience working with major cancer centers and clinics, oncology GPOs, large health systems, IDNs, and large oncology practices
  • Demonstrated measurable revenue generation at either a diagnostic, pharmaceutical or relevant biotechnology company
  • Ability to provide an integrated MolDx solution using Guardant Health’s next generation sequencing technology to prospects and customers
  • Ability to engage in a consultative selling process that overcomes objections and indifferences while connecting client needs with GHI capabilities
  • Comfortable communicating, presenting, selling at the executive level (CEO, COO, CFO)
  • Keen understanding of the payor and reimbursement environment in the oncology and diagnostic space
  • Ability to work independently, communicate proactively, manage multiple projects and prioritize daily tasks while managing critical deadlines
  • Strong understanding of molecular diagnostics for oncology and the evolving competitive landscape
  • Excellent knowledge of oncology, hematology, chemotherapeutics and targeted agents
  • Excellent negotiation and customer service skills
  • Outstanding strategic sales account planning skills
  • Superior listening and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive information and maintain a very high level of confidentiality
  • Demonstrate consistent closing abilities throughout the sales cycle
  • Impeccable oral and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; Salesforce.com experience
  • Ability to develop and utilize cross-functional relationships to facilitate goals
  • Ability to work effectively with minimal direction from manager
  • Problem solving and decision making skills
  • Strong administrative skills and sophistication to manage business in complex environments

  • Frequent travel (>50%) throughout the territory
