Job Summary
Manage the book of business in pursuit of fiscal revenue targets and develop the annual strategic plan to address client lifecycle needs including service, financial, and growth initiatives. Lead renewal presentations, negotiate contract terms, and oversee implementation processes while utilizing internal financial tools to ensure preparedness. Maintain high client satisfaction and retention by effectively leading the service team, organizing executive briefings, and coordinating with subject matter experts to strengthen relationships. Provide timely feedback on strategic plan performance and escalate issues where appropriate to maximize service and growth opportunities within the assigned account.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree from four-year college or university
- Three (3) to seven (7) years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience in the Self-Insured benefits arena, preferably with Employers, TPAs, States/Municipalities, Unions, Hospitals, private label PBM's, Cash Card and/or other related entities
- Outstanding knowledge of the health benefits arena
- Knowledge of government prescription programs
- Experience preferably in pharmacy benefits management
- Strong consultative selling and negotiation skills
- Strong computer, and analytic skills, including experience creating and delivering client presentations using MS Office programs and use of internal system reporting tools and databases
- Knowledge of healthcare products and contracts
- Strong verbal, written, interpersonal, presentation, persuasion and consulting skills
- Excellent communication, writing and public presentation skills
- Domestic travel up to 35% of the time, with little or no advance notice and depending on client contractual requirements
- Registered Pharmacist in the State of California or equivalent state preferred
- Insurance sales and underwriting license (Resident Insurance Producer License- Accident and Health Agent) may be required
