Job Summary
Account Executive at WDSU-TV in New Orleans sells advertising across platforms, prospecting and presenting to developmental businesses, developing new revenue by building relationships with clients as their trusted advisor, and delivering sales proposals aligned with station strategies. Responsible for producing revenue across all platforms, managing and upselling client lists, and achieving individual sales goals within a dynamic sales team. Must have a digital-first mindset and participate in in-person sales activities; reports to the Local Sales Manager.
Required Qualifications
- 1+ years in media or digital sales, or similar sales field
- Experience with development of new business/non-traditional business
- Strong negotiation skills
- Experience in a consultative customer-focused business atmosphere
- Accountability within a goal-structured organization
- Must be a team player
- Experience selling to business owners
- Understand and use qualitative research to further sales effort
- Related military experience will be considered
