Job Summary
Account Executive responsible for generating new business in the Public Sector and utilities, building relationships with customers and internal teams, developing and presenting professional proposals including financials, and meeting gross margin and sales targets. Requires consultative sales approach, knowledge of renewable energy industry, strong communication and negotiation skills, and ability to travel frequently (up to 30-50%). Based in Kentucky with potential field activities and coordination with operations to translate customer needs into installable solutions; engage with leadership, engineers, project managers, and other technical representatives to drive revenue and market share in the public sector. Includes development of market opportunities and long-term planning for the Public Sector team; supports approval processes, proposals, and ongoing account management through installation and post-installation phases.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor�s degree in business or related field
- Five or more (5+) years' industry experience selling large solutions
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs
- Ability to compose and write proposals, reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
- Travel up to 30-50% including overnight stays
