Job Summary
Account Executive in the Public Sector Central Region (based in Kentucky) responsible for generating new business using a consultative sales approach with utility and public sector clients. Travel up to 30-50% including overnight stays. Develop knowledge of the renewable energy industry, build relationships with leadership, engineers, project managers, and other technical representatives, and translate customer needs into installable solutions. Prepare and present professional proposals, maintain ongoing customer contact through installation, monitor account plans, and meet sales and gross margin goals. Requires a Bachelor's degree in business or related field, 5+ years of industry sales experience with large solutions, strong negotiation/closing skills, excellent communication, proficiency with Microsoft Office, and ability to write proposals and reports. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field
- Five or more (5+) years' industry experience selling large solutions; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Highly effective and successful sales negotiation and closing techniques
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs
- Ability to compose and write proposals, reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
