Job Summary
Account Executive in Energy Systems Group's Public Sector Central Region based in Kentucky with 30-50% travel including overnights. Responsible for generating new business by employing a consultative sales approach to develop leads and relationships with utility and public sector clients, translating customer needs into feasible, installable solutions in collaboration with the operations team. Will present professional proposals and financial solutions, maintain ongoing customer contact during installation, and drive attainment of sales objectives, gross margins, and market share. Requires a Bachelor's degree in business or related field and 5+ years of experience selling large solutions, along with strong negotiation, communication, and proposal-writing skills; travel up to 50% is involved.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business or related field
- Five or more (5+) years' industry experience selling large solutions; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Highly effective and successful sales negotiation and closing techniques
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs
- Ability to compose and write proposals, reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
