Job Summary
Account Executive to drive growth of IHI Terrasun’s energy storage controls software and data analytics platforms. Leverage an established energy storage and solar + storage network to originate and close complex B2B opportunities, engaging developers, owners, and EPCs. Lead technical and commercial presentations, coordinate cross-functional deal teams, apply value-based and Challenger selling to differentiate offerings, and manage long, technically driven sales cycles across software, controls, and analytics platforms.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related technical discipline
- 10+ years of technical or software-based sales
- Demonstrated success selling energy storage controls software, industrial controls, automation platforms, or analytical solutions
- Established energy storage and solar + storage industry network with existing relationships with IPPs/utilities/owners/operators of BESS assets
- Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills
- Experience supporting or participating in contract and legal negotiations (preferred)
Desired Qualifications
- Advanced degree (MBA, MS, or equivalent) in Business, Engineering, or related field
- 10+ years of technical or software-based sales experience
- Demonstrated success selling energy storage controls software, industrial controls, automation platforms, or analytical solutions
- Established energy storage and solar + storage industry network with IPPs/utilities/owners/operators of BESS assets
- Experience managing opportunities across engineering, product, legal, and finance teams
- Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills with ability to convey complex technical concepts
- Experience adopting AI-driven tools to improve productivity
- Experience in contract and legal negotiations preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools; CRM and opportunity management tools
- Willingness to travel up to ~30%
