Account Executive, Endoscopic (New York City)

Job Summary

Drive sales revenue and overall market share within the New York City territory by pursuing new business, implementing strategic plans, and achieving a 10% annual increase in market share. Direct clinical demonstration processes for qualified target accounts, coordinate pre-demo activities with Clinical Sales Specialists, and nurture existing customer relationships through routine calls, product demonstrations, and in-service training. Develop strong networks with physicians, nurses, technicians, and hospital administration while serving as a primary resource for equipment training and educational materials. Act as an Endoscopic Consultant by maintaining thorough competitive positioning knowledge, supporting VIP customers, and collaborating with the Product Development team on clinical evaluations of new prototypes. Provide weekly and monthly sales reports and forecasts to direct supervision, maintain customer data for database integration, and attend trade shows as requested.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business or related quantitative disciplines
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of field sales experience
  • Ability to work well independently and take charge of situations
  • Ability to excel in fast-paced, competitive environments
  • Strong interpersonal skills that allow for development of solid customer relationships
  • Ability to operate a computer effectively and efficiently, including MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint
  • Proficiency in use of MS Outlook and other email applications
  • Ability to professionally communicate with internal and external customers
  • Ability to write reports and relay information accurately and in a timely manner
  • Ability to prioritize customer requirements
  • Ability to speak in front of small groups of people
  • Ability to speak professionally and relay technical information accurately and concisely
  • Ability to understand basic mathematical requirements for discount calculation
  • Ability to sit up 75-100% of applicable work time
  • Ability to use hands and fingers to feel and manipulate items, including keyboards, up to 100% of applicable work time
  • Ability to stand, talk, and hear for 75% of applicable work time
  • Ability to lift and carry large size equipment up to 25-50 pounds up to 20% of applicable work time and as needed
  • Ability to see clearly at twenty inches or less
  • Ability to travel 75% of time- includes time spent in the field and at corporate offices
  • Ability for overnight travel up to 50% (including weekends at times)
  • Willingness to comply with all applicable U.S. Food and Drug Administration (U.S. FDA) medical device regulatory requirements
  • Willingness to comply with and pass all requirements for vendor credentialing as part of gaining access to hospitals and facilities to perform assigned job duties
  • Willingness to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 if federal, state, or local government mandates become effective and enforceable
  • Willingness to test for the COVID-19 virus periodically
  • Willingness to wear a face covering indoors as required
