Job Summary
Account Executive in Employee Benefits manages an assigned book of business, develops client relationships, and implements multi-year strategic plans to grow and retain clients. Acts as liaison between employer-group administrators and insurance carriers, leads renewal and enrollment processes, analyzes market data, negotiates with carriers, ensures services are implemented per project plans, coordinates with HUB Specialty Practice Teams, prepares and delivers presentations, and communicates product offerings and trends to clients. Requires ability to build strong client relationships, provide strategic guidance on benefits strategy, and manage complex service issues with carriers. Education and licensing in life/health benefits are preferred; 5+ years of related experience; ability to analyze financials and plan designs; strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma / GED
- college degree strongly preferred
- 5+ years of related benefit insurance industry experience (brokage preferred) or equivalent combination of education & experience
- Life & Health insurance License
- Experience in managing wellness programs within large accounts preferred
- Experience in self-funded account management preferred
- Strong knowledge of employee benefits products and services and how they are delivered to clients
- ACCA/ COBRA / HIPAA familiarity
- Ability to interact with all levels within the organization
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and agency management systems
