Job Summary
Develop and maintain existing accounts through personal visits and systematic follow-up to drive sales growth, item penetration, and profitability. Coordinate with Customer Service Representatives and Account Coordinators to ensure optimal account service and contract alignment. Present new ideas and exclusive brand products to secure account loyalty while managing product mix to maximize profit goals. Communicate with customers regarding performance, new programs, and market trends through formal Business Reviews. Lead the assigned sales team to ensure optimum service, maximize customer time, and meet accounts receivable currency targets. Maintain comprehensive account profiles including order guides and statements while verifying pricing information. Set up and support the rollout of new accounts as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Bachelor's degree in Business/Marketing preferred
- A minimum of three years of sales or distribution experience
- Experience in Food Sales
- Experience in professional selling to Hotels
- Experience in professional selling to Healthcare
- Experience in professional selling to Colleges/Universities
- Experience in professional selling to Senior living
- Experience in restaurant operations
- Experience using quantitative & qualitative research data
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Customer service and presentation abilities
- Demonstrated problem solving ability
- Negotiation skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word
- Working knowledge of Outlook
- Working knowledge of Excel
- Travel required
- Anticipated field time at least four days per week
- Monday in office in Buffalo
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in Food Sales or professional selling to Hotels, Healthcare, Colleges/Universities or Senior living are highly preferred
- Experience in restaurant operations desirable
- Experience using quantitative & qualitative research data will be helpful
