Job Summary
Manage and develop customer relationships throughout the Virginia territory, conducting regular in-person visits with transportation agencies, consultants, and contractors to identify opportunities and strengthen partnerships. Act as the primary field representative for Maryland, Washington D.C., and Delaware, executing a territory coverage plan to ensure recurring coverage of key accounts and prospects. Utilize company CRM tools to document activities and provide weekly reports summarizing meetings, business development, and planned travel. Generate proposals, estimate project scopes, and analyze RFPs and RFIs while serving as the primary point of contact for all project pursuits within the region.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Civil Engineering preferred OR equivalent experience in Engineering or Account Management role
- 5 years plus experience in Engineering/ Account Management/Traffic Signal Support role
- As a primary point of contact for our customers, this position requires a self-starter with excellent integrity and work ethics to work remotely with minimum of supervision
- Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a team environment or independently
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Moderate business travel is required on an average of 25% when and as needed
- All candidates who accept employment will be subject to a background investigation and drug screening
- For applicable roles, candidates who accept employment will also be subject to a Motor Vehicle/Driving Record screening
Desired Qualifications
- Extensive knowledge and experience in the traffic industry is preferred
- Knowledge and/or experience in Connected Vehicle technologies desirable
- Professional Engineering (PE) certification is preferred
- IMSA Level III is preferred
