Job Summary
Account Executive in Austin leads territory sales for Mohawk’s Core Commercial segment. Responsibilities include conducting sales calls and visits to customer facilities, presenting information, quoting prices, taking orders, closing transactions, and guiding customers through features and benefits. The role tracks territory performance, provides customer service and cross-functional coordination, informs product managers with customer feedback, and supports development of territory plans and forecasts. Travel is required (domestic, 75–100%), with frequent interactions across multiple stakeholder groups and channels; responsibilities also cover budgeting guidance and ensuring compliance with corporate policies. Strong presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills are essential to cultivate relationships, grow the customer base, and achieve sales objectives across markets. Prior experience in sales and knowledge of Mohawk’s product lines are advantageous.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma required
- 1-3 years of progressively responsible work-related experience
- Ability to travel
- Ability to learn and maintain in-depth knowledge of the company’s diverse business and product lines
- Excellent presentation, oral, written, and interpersonal communications skills
- Ability to work with diverse groups and persuade, market, and sell new ideas
