Account Executive - Communications, Energy & Utilities

Job Summary
Lead strategic engagements on AI for Japan's leading energy, utility, and telecommunication companies by selling software, solutions, and services to acquire, grow, and retain accounts within your territory. Prospect assigned accounts to uncover business needs, qualify opportunities, and advance them through the full sales cycle while forecasting timelines to close business. Collaborate with pre-sales resources, virtual teams, and executives to deliver timely responses to qualified leads, prepare quotations and contracts, and finalize agreements. Utilize account planning tools and sales methodologies for pipeline management, monitor customer satisfaction, and execute action plans to expand relationships and identify additional revenue opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- Experience with either Japan Energy & Utilities and/or Telecommunications industry
- Knowledge of SaaS complex solution sales
- Awareness of SAS solutions and services
- Ability to work on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors
- Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions
- Ability to network with senior internal and external personnel in own area of expertise
- Knowledge of basic sales techniques
- Knowledge of hardware and/or software acquisitions cycles and buying influences
- Ability to analyze and evaluate territory dynamics and develop a sales plan
- Ability to communicate technical and business concepts and relate them to SAS applications and user needs
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Full proficiency in Japanese
- Willingness to learn and communicate in English
- Ability to travel as per business request
