Job Summary
Account Executive, Commercial - SMB (West) is responsible for building and managing a software sales pipeline to meet or exceed quotas within a West Coast SMB territory. The role executes a solution-based sales process with multiple internal and external stakeholders, develops and prospect opportunities across existing accounts, leverages relationships to expand Smartsheet’s footprint, and drives revenue during renewals. You will expand brand awareness at the c-suite, operational, and team levels, facilitate collaborations with Sales Engineers, Solutions Consultants, and Customer Success to support the full sales cycle, create Joint Engagement Plans for strategic deals, and maintain accurate Salesforce records using MEDDICC. You will use CRM and BI tools (Salesforce and Tableau) to track activities and territory metrics and apply an industry perspective to identify where Smartsheet can add value. Qualifications include 3+ years of SaaS full cycle sales experience, B2B relationship management, familiarity with SaaS evaluation processes, cross-functional collaboration, and a Bachelor's degree or equivalent. The role offers a base salary range of $75,000-$85,000 with teleworking options from any registered location in the U.S., plus comprehensive benefits and opportunities for professional growth.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of SaaS full cycle sales experience exceeding quota
- Experience managing customer relationships in a B2B environment
- Understanding of SaaS evaluation process and ability to execute each stage
- Experience with multiple functional departments to manage customer life cycle from initial engagement through implementation to renewal
- Experience using CRM and power BI software (Salesforce and Tableau) to track daily activities, key metrics and territory insights
- Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of other post-secondary education
