Job Summary
Develop and execute a strategic growth plan focused on DoD/DoW organizations to identify, qualify, and prioritize new business opportunities aligned with company capabilities. Establish and expand relationships with government decision-makers, program offices, and industry partners while driving the opportunity pipeline from early identification through contract award. Monitor customer budgets, acquisition forecasts, and mission priorities to facilitate go/no-go decisions and support capture activities including competitive assessments and win strategy development. Collaborate with proposal teams to develop compliant proposals and coordinate with operational leaders to align customer needs with company solutions. Represent the company at industry events and networking engagements to meet established growth and contract award objectives. Maintain accurate pipeline information and revenue forecasts within company systems while ensuring compliance with all policies and ethical business practices.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in business development, account management, or sales in the U.S. Government or Government Contracting sector
- Bachelor's degree in business, International Relations, Marketing, or related field
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance
- Top Secret preferred
- Must be able to successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen
- Subject to random drug screens throughout the term of employment
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 75% of the time
- Must be able to work indoor conditions 90% of the time
- Must be able to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms
- Must be able to frequently the standard office equipment moves up to 25 pounds
- Must be able to work a Hybrid in-office / remote work schedule
- Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
- Evening and weekend work required as business needs dictate
- Travel up to 20% (domestic locations, including overnight travel)
- Strong sales and business development acumen with proven revenue growth performance
- Exceptional relationship-building, networking, and communication skills
- Proven ability to develop qualified pipelines and win new business in competitive federal environments
- Strong understanding of the federal acquisition process, including FAR-based procurements, commercial acquisition approaches, IDIQ contracts, GWACs, and task order competitions
- Experience developing and executing account plans, capture strategies, and growth initiatives
- Strong analytical, strategic planning, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills
- Ability to influence and collaborate effectively across multiple functional areas and leadership levels
- Experience using CRM and opportunity management tools
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with the U.S. Space Force and Team Orlando Program and Contracting Offices (CPE ST3, ACC-ORL, NAWCTSD, PM TRASYS, AFAMS, etc.)
- Knowledge of Shipley processes
- Familiarity with 8(a) Tribal entities in federal contracting
