Job Summary
Account Director responsible for total account management and growth of hotel group and transient revenue. Develops and implements strategic account plans, partners with Sales and Marketing leadership and property leadership to expand market share, penetrates existing accounts, and identifies opportunities for extended stays and catering sales. Builds relationships with buyers, conducts sales activities (sales calls, entertainment, FAM trips, trade shows), and ensures execution of brand and service standards. May supervise Account Sales associates and collaborates across channels (marriott.com, group and transient intermediaries) to maximize revenues, margin, and customer satisfaction. Requires strong knowledge of hospitality sales, budgeting, contract processes, and frontline leadership in a hotel environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 2 years experience in the sales and marketing, guest services, front desk, or related professional area
- 2-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major; no work experience required
