Job Summary
Maintenance, repair and installation of machinery and services across the factory, following regulatory and company requirements; adherence to preventative maintenance schedules and proper recording of service and maintenance tasks; maintain/record logs, sign off completed tasks, update shift handover and spare parts logs; provide feedback on machinery weaknesses and future maintenance needs; learn machine functions and develop skills; operate with initiative and coordinate with operators, chargehands, supervisors; consult manuals and drawings to complete tasks; remove machines from service if safety risk; training on current/future machines, potentially requiring travel abroad; weekend work 06:30–18:30 Fri-Sun; the role requires qualification as a fitter or equivalent mechanical qualification and minimum 3 years’ experience; travel for training may be required; located in Killarney, Ireland.
Required Qualifications
- Qualified Fitter or other relevant Mechanical related qualification
- Minimum of 3 years’ previous experience in a maintenance department
- The ability to work at heights and in confined spaces is essential
- Basic PC skills are required
