Job Summary
Heavy Equipment Apprentice Field Service Technician in the Greater St. John’s area working through an apprenticeship program to gain hands-on field experience and formal training in equipment maintenance, diagnostics, repairs, and customer service. Responsibilities include adhering to safety policies, attending training, maintaining documentation, performing repairs, diagnosing faults, ordering parts, keeping workshop and inventory organized, and supporting customers; competencies include understanding electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical components, reading schematics/technical drawings, and strong communication and self-motivation.
Required Qualifications
- Must be enrolled Heavy Duty Equipment Technician program and working towards a Red Seal.
- Demonstrated diagnostic and troubleshooting skills, component exchange, repair and warranty related activities.
- Ability to read and understand schematics and technical drawings.
- You are able to effectively communicate detailed and complex information in a clear and concise manner.
- You are self-motivated with the ability to work alone, unsupervised for extended periods of time.
- Fully proficient with computers and Microsoft Office suite.
