Account Coordinator, Media Relations

Job Summary
Develop and execute media relations strategies and campaigns for health, wellness, fitness, and performance brands. Draft press materials including pitches, releases, and alerts while conducting outreach to secure placements in print, digital, and broadcast outlets. Manage creator partnerships with podcasts and influencers, host media and VIPs at client events, and monitor coverage to generate client-ready reports. Maintain media databases and support account teams with research, administrative tasks, and meeting preparation. Oversee reporting with entry-level staff support. This role joins the New York team at AIIR, a communications agency helping brands build credibility through strategic storytelling and experiential activations.
Required Qualifications
- One to three years experience in public relations, media relations, or corporate communications (agency, in-house, or a combination)
- Confident as client and media relations facing
- Sharp proactive and reactive media relations instincts
- Strong writing, communication, and organizational skills
- Passion for storytelling and building relationships with the media
- Oversee reporting with support of entry-level staff
- Entrenched in health, wellness, fitness, and performance (athletes and enthusiasts strongly encouraged to apply!)
