Job Summary
Promote AbbVie therapeutic products in community/private practices and hospitals/health systems to meet sales goals using consultative selling techniques. Identify customer needs regarding training, clinical, operational, and reimbursement issues, then address them with appropriate AbbVie resources. Deliver expert anatomical and procedural information, including injection paradigms and terminology, while providing education to residents, fellows, and key hospital personnel. Collaborate with Account Specialists to execute trainings and ensure compliance with all reports, requests, and promotional guidelines. Manage field assets effectively and utilize sales data resources to drive productivity within the U.S. Marketing Plan. This field-based role requires a valid driver's license, ability to travel for territory coverage and overnight training events, and physical capability to lift 25-100lb training models. Candidates must satisfy all HCIR credentialing requirements, including background checks, drug screens, and immunizations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in health, sciences, pharmacy or business-related field
- Relevant and equivalent industry experience
- High school diploma/GED
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening test
- Ability to meet safe driving requirements
- Ability to lift/pull 25-100lb
- Training models
- Meet necessary hospital credentialing/vaccination requirements
- Satisfy all applicable health care industry representative (HCIR) credentialing requirements
- Gain and maintain entry into facilities and organizations that are in your assigned territory
- Be in good standing and/or eligible to obtain these credentials
- Background checks
- Drug screens
- Proof of immunization/vaccination for various diseases
- Fingerprinting
- Specific licenses required by individual state or cities
- Ability to travel adequately to cover territory

Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in health, sciences, pharmacy or business-related field preferred
- Relevant and equivalent industry experience required in lieu of a bachelor's degree is at least five (5) years of technical experience
- Three (3) or more years of experience within sales preferred
- Documented history of strong sales performance
- Clinical/technical/consultative sales role

- Experience with Buy & Bill and/or Specialty Pharmacy products
