Job Summary
Analyze assigned music prior to rehearsals and performances to ensure efficient scheduling, then provide sensitive, expressive piano accompaniment for individual students, ensembles, choirs, and instrumental groups. Assist music directors by guiding students through musical pieces, offering feedback, and supervising student activities to maintain a positive learning environment. Prepare and maintain a diverse repertoire while collaborating with staff to coordinate musical activities and provide clerical support such as ordering music and tracking budgets. Demonstrate proficient sight-reading skills and flexibility to accommodate varying director preferences and student needs across all grade levels.
