Accessorial Specialist

Job Summary
Process and validate accessorial requests, review ACA mailbox emails and sort them, ensure timely review (within 24 hours of delivery) and correct paperwork, verify requests using McLeod and attached documents, obtain approvals from Account Managers, enter data into spreadsheets or customer portals, communicate denials to carriers, monitor ACA inquiries via Teams, resolve carrier inquiries from the Pay Status Call Sheet, build positive relationships with carriers, customers, and Account Managers, handle inbound calls for the ACA Department, obtain paperwork from carriers when needed, and issue rate confirmations to carriers; requires strong customer service, problem-solving, attention to detail, and MS Office proficiency.
Required Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED is required.
- A bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 1 year of related experience
- An associate’s degree and a minimum of 2-3 years of related experience are preferred
- Experience: Work experience in the transportation industry is a plus
- In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 4-6 years of related experience is required
- Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, strong communication and collaboration, attention to detail, adaptability and multi-tasking
