Job Summary
Accessioner needed for night shift (Mon-Fri, 8:00 PM–4:30 AM) at Sagis Diagnostics in Houston, TX. Responsibilities include entering specimen data into the Laboratory Information System (LIS), ensuring proper request forms and accurate patient/demographic information on requisitions and specimen bottles, labeling and matching specimens, transcribing and mailing laboratory correspondence, maintaining filing systems and various logs, handling telephone and other communications, filing slides, and performing other tasks as directed by the Laboratory Supervisor. Must adhere to SOPs, work in a fast-paced environment, and be able to stand for periods. Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Must type at least 40 WPM and demonstrate strong attention to detail and procedural follow-through. Office experience in medical/healthcare settings preferred; bachelor’s degree in Biology/Chemistry or related field is required for advancing to other lab positions.

- Ability to work in a standing position at times
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds
