Accessibility & Engagement Coordinator

Job Summary
Recruit, onboard, and train volunteers and interns while managing the full internship lifecycle from recruitment to evaluation. Serve as the museum's ADA Coordinator, ensuring compliance with accessibility standards and responding to accommodation requests. Partner with cross-departmental teams to identify barriers, conduct periodic audits, and deliver staff training on inclusive practices. Maintain accurate records, match participants to roles based on skills and needs, and coordinate event participation including occasional evenings and weekends. Cultivate partnerships with educational institutions to strengthen the talent pipeline and foster a welcoming environment aligned with the Mint Museum's mission.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Nonprofit Management, Museum Studies, Education, or related field
- Minimum of 2 to 4 years of experience coordinating volunteers, interns, or related engagement programs
- Experience in a museum, nonprofit, or educational setting
- Knowledge of ADA regulations, accessibility standards, and inclusive practices
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines with strong attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a customer-service orientation
- Demonstrated ability to foster inclusion, teamwork, and cross-departmental collaboration
- Commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, accessibility, and belonging (DEIAB) principles
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite, Google Workspace, and volunteer management platforms
- Ability to communicate with empathy, cultural awareness, and professionalism
- Skilled in facilitation, conflict resolution, and training delivery
- Ability to work with a team and independently
- Interest and/or background in Art or Art History
Desired Qualifications
