Job Summary
Learn hands-on with a mentor to diagnose, inspect, recondition, repair, assemble, and service real heavy construction equipment in a shop setting. You’ll document machine details and repairs on service orders, maintain an organized workspace, and develop professionalism through pride in your environment. This paid internship includes company-paid tools, potential for full-time employment after graduation, and incentives such as a $5,000 graduation sign-on bonus and up to $20,000 in incentives. Start with foundational coursework in Heavy Equipment Service or Diesel Technology, build hands-on skills, and gain experience with tools while delivering excellent customer service in a team environment at Burnsville, MN (RDO Equipment Co.).
Required Qualifications
- Must be enrolled in or attending an approved Heavy Equipment Service, Diesel Technology, or technical service program recognized by RDO Equipment Co.
- Maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA and solid attendance
- Gain experience using mechanical tools and learn on the job in a supportive environment
- Strong computer skills and a passion for delivering excellent customer service
- Clear written and verbal communication skills; ability to stay organized in a fast-paced environment
- Valid work authorization and ability to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship
