Job Summary
Lead implementation of GV4G's investment facilitation and innovative finance strategy by conducting financial ecosystem analysis and identifying barriers to agricultural finance. Build partnerships with banks, DFIs, impact investors, and guarantee facilities to unlock investment in agri-SMEs and farmers across Mozambique's soy, cashew, and coffee value chains. Coordinate transaction structuring, pipeline development, and investment matchmaking while supporting the design and testing of blended finance instruments and de-risking mechanisms. Facilitate investor forums and pitch events to stimulate joint problem solving, work closely with enterprise development teams to strengthen financial readiness, and assess opportunities to establish digital data structures for finance flow. Contribute to donor reporting, partnership development, and programme learning while representing TechnoServe in investment sector platforms.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree + 7 years experience or Master + 5 years experience in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Agribusiness, International Development, or related field
- Relevant professional certification
- Skills in investment facilitation, agricultural finance, SME finance, blended finance, or private sector development
- Demonstrated experience working with banks, DFIs, impact investors, or investment funds
- Strong understanding of agricultural finance, enterprise development, and investment readiness
- Experience supporting SMEs and agribusinesses to access finance in Mozambique or similar context
- Fluency in Portuguese and English
- Travel up to 35%
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in climate finance, green finance, carbon finance, or regenerative agriculture financing
- Knowledge of Mozambican financial institutions and investment ecosystem
- Experience with EU, Netherlands, IFC, FMO, AgDevCo, or impact investor partnerships
- Experience in soy, cashew, coffee, or agricultural value chain financing
