Job Summary
Coordinate daily workflow to ensure efficient referral management, registration, scheduling, and hospital discharge coordination across multiple behavioral health locations. Provide day-to-day leadership, supervision, and support to the Access Specialist team while monitoring departmental productivity, scheduling accuracy, and quality standards. Assist with onboarding, training, coaching, and professional development of staff, and identify operational challenges to recommend solutions that improve access and customer service. Travel between agency locations as needed to provide operational oversight and workflow management.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Human Services, Healthcare Administration, or a related field
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in behavioral health, healthcare operations, access services, intake, care coordination, scheduling, or a related field
- Previous supervisory, lead, or management experience
- Experience using electronic health record (EHR) systems and Microsoft Office applications
- Experience with referral management, intake, registration, scheduling, insurance verification, or hospital discharge workflows
- Valid driver's license and access to a private vehicle for day-to-day job performance
- Ability to travel between multiple agency locations throughout the workweek to provide operational support and oversight
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of Community Mental Health (CMH), Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC), and behavioral health access systems
- Knowledge of referral management, intake, registration, scheduling, insurance verification, and hospital discharge workflows
- Knowledge of applicable federal, state, payer, and agency regulations related to behavioral health access and client services
- Strong leadership, supervisory, coaching, and staff development skills
- Ability to develop, implement, and improve operational workflows and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to analyze operational data, identify trends, and support quality improvement initiatives
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and organizational levels
- Strong customer service and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to work independently while exercising sound judgment and initiative
- Ability to adapt to changing organizational priorities while maintaining professionalism and accountability
- Experience working within a Community Mental Health (CMH) and/or Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) environment
- Experience with quality improvement and workflow redesign initiatives
